Running Bond Brass Transom

Custom Running Bond.

This project involved designing and creating a custom running bond stained glass pattern that would blend seamlessly with the existing running bond design already featured in the home. Careful attention was given to the size, spacing, and overall flow of the pattern to ensure the new panel looked as though it had always been part of the original design. The goal was to preserve the home's character while adding a handcrafted piece that complemented its architectural style. The finished window provides a natural, cohesive appearance that enhances the surrounding glasswork without drawing attention to where the original design ends and the new work begins.

Custom Fitting Beveled Glass

The success of this project was found in the attention to the smallest details. Great care was taken to recreate the running bond pattern so it closely matched the original design, allowing the new panel to blend naturally with the existing glasswork. Every piece was carefully measured and aligned to maintain the same rhythm and visual balance as the surrounding pattern.

Just as important was ensuring the panel was perfectly centered within the frame. Proper alignment not only enhances the overall appearance but also allows the finished window to look balanced and intentional from every angle. The result is a handcrafted panel that honors the original craftsmanship while fitting seamlessly into the home's existing architectural character.
